A few people told me they were worried my standard model of attenuators might not fit them, so I had a good look around and found these ones here that are resizeable anywhere between XS and L for a custom fit, no matter the size of your ear canal. With some things, size does matter, after all! Earplugs need to be comfy so it’s not a pain to wear them as long as you have to!

I did a whole lot of research over the last few months, looked at really popular models out there, and guys, honestly, it’s all pretty dire. You can figure this out, too, it doesn’t need special expertise! If they try to sell you cute-looking earplugs on social media. for example, will they give you all the info about them, i.e. something really crucial like how many decibels they’ll take off the ambient sound? Usually, no, they won’t.

When you look at them, will you see a filter that’s roughly in line with your ear canal? Or at least somewhere near the bit that goes into your ear?

Nope, very likely not, but admittedly, some do look very cute, and while they’ll say they have a filter in them, they really don’t. That’s obvious, visually, and I’ve taken some apart, because I’m a bit of a nerd, and there was absolutely no filter.
